While in job transition, Kris gave me the opportunity to help him build a website for his new company ©TheKristofLewisPodcastLLC . Although I had dabbled with web design on my own, this was the first time I worked with another on an eCommerce site!
It’s simple, elegant, and was a great learning experience for me and I hope I can help create many more in the future! Check out Kris’s positive message, merch, podcasts, and videos at www.kristoflewis.com
My love for art and design came from plain old doodling. I love hands on work as well, and will continue to try to develop my digital graphics skills while refreshing my fine arts skills. I mainly work with oils while painting, but have played around with spray paints. My primary medium for sculpture is plaster, and I always try to go big!
This “Design Build” project kicked of Grad School in the summer of 2009 for The Carter School in Boston, Massachusetts. The Carter School is a local special needs school that was in dire need of an affordable “Bus Shelter” or awning due to the time consuming process of loading and unloaded the students, and the horrible up and down New England Weather. We came, we built and in 2 months, the shelter was up and is still standing there today!

In Grad School, we really got into working through projects as if we would in real life. This exercise was to take an existing building with it’s lot and expand it’s purpose while integrating the exterior through landscape development. The goal was to do the same research, code analysis, and building development you would with a real project. Although I am not 100% happy with the design, I can say that you could easily build and develop this project based on the work I have done!
This colorful building was the conceptual brain child of mine in an effort to create the ultimate multipurpose building geared directly towards the local college students. Myself being one of them at the time, frequently found myself displaced in the city. Although we could share spaces and resources among the “Colleges of the Fenway” there was never anyplace I felt was large enough and encapsulated everything a student would need or want in a space during their off time.
You can read about it more through an inter-library loan through WorldCat, or check it out from the MASSART library.
I was awarded my BFA in Architectural Design, May 30th 2009. From there I went on to receive a NAAB accredited M.Arch. This is just a snipit of the hundreds of hours I have put in to learn how to properly design buildings without loosing my creative flair.
During my time as a Design Engineer for a small company called “Constant Technologies”. I primarily did Pre-Architectural space planning, and promotional renderings, but was also called upon to edit AV integration schematics and construction docs. As seen here, I got to dabble in creating my own funky consoles which also helped to strengthen my rendering, design, and shop drawing skills.
All photo’s here have been taken by me, edited by me, or featured me as the subject, such as the photo of me in the “About Me” section. Although this is purely a hobby, I still enjoy documenting the world around me through photography.
